Kombucha Tea To Cure Kidney Stones

By: John S Home | Health-and-Fitness

Kombucha Tea is a natural remedy for various illnesses including kidney stones. It's delicious, effective and easy to prepare. Kombucha tea has been used as a curative for as long as 2000 years. This tea is prepared using a mushroom that is placed in sugary tea. This tea is allowed to ferment for a period of seven days, after which it is ready to drink. Each time a new batch of Kombucha is prepared, a new mushroom is created which may be used for a different batch in a similar manner to make as much tea as possible.

The first thing to do is to acquire a Kombucha culture, which looks like a white rubbery pancake. It is a symbiotic culture of yeast and other microorganisms. When this culture is placed in sweetened black or green tea, it imparts into it health giving acids and nutrients. The culture takes the excess sugar from the liquid and in exchange produces a variety of useful substances such as glucuronic acid, glucon acid, lactic acid, vitamins, amino acids, antibiotic substances etc. The acids help in the healthy functioning of the body. Along with its multiple benefits Kombucha tea is a great tasting natural beverage a great alternative to sugary sodas and alcohol.

The taste of Kombucha tea must not be too acidic unless it is being used for diseases such as diabetes and weight loss along with Kidney stones. It should approximate cider or shandy. The sharper the taste, the better coz that would indicate that more and more sugar has been broken down to form the beneficial by-products. Antibiotic properties usually appear after a period of 6-7 days. This would also depend on the environment and weather conditions in which the culture is placed.

Kombucha tea must be taken in an amount approximating to a half or one-fourth glass of the brew. The intake depends on various factors. For instance cancer patients are advised by doctors to drink as much as 1 liter of Kombucha tea. Similarly, different amounts may be recommended for different medical conditions. Places where the Kombucha culture has been known for a longer period of time, natives drink as much as one-third of a liter. Kombucha tea is considered healthy for children too. The amount administered may be decided in accordance with age and height. The concentrate may in fact be mixed with juices to taste better to children.

A few cautions must be exercised in case of Kombucha tea. Firstly, the intake of Kombucha tea must be increased gradually over a period of time, rather than taking large doses all of a sudden. In certain places it is recommended not to drink Kombucha tea during pregnancy to avoid poisons from forming in the cells. Kombucha tea is sweetened so that the culture can use the sugar to produce beneficial by-products. However, diabetic patients must either avoid the potion or drink highly fermented versions only. Also, excess lactic acid in Kombucha tea may result in joint pain, dizziness and sinus problems.

Kombucha tea may take 4-6 weeks to show improvement in health or particular medical conditions such as kidney stones. The actual benefits appear after a duration of a couple of months at least. Before taking to Kombucha tea, the details of how to prepare tea, its lifespan, concentration etc must be learned. In addition, do consult your doctor to ensure that there are no side effects of any of the by-products produced by Kombucha tea. Else, it's a great drink with great benefits!
