More than 28 million people are suffering with cancer and nearly eight million will die this year. Lance Armstrong foundation (LAF) was set up to help people suffering from cancer. This foundation was set up 10 years ago. Lance Armstrong suffered and survived testicular cancer that had spread to his brain. It is because of this that, with his fortitude and direction, live strong wristbands has taken off like gangbusters. Lance Armstrong introduced "live strong" wristband to support people suffering from cancer. This band is yellow in color which was launched in May 2004 to raise funds for Lance Armstrong foundation. Nike joined with Lance Armstrong to create live strong wristbands to raise awareness and support for cancer sufferers around the world. This foundation was founded by cyclist and cancer survivor Lance Armstrong. Wristbands were sold to raise money for cancer research, raise cancer awareness and encourage people to live life to the fullest. Lance Armstrong wristband became famous in 2004 due to Armstrong’s Tour de France effort. Certain famous personalities like John Kerry, Katie Couric and Matt Damon wore the band. Endorsements in TV shows increased awareness among people. This kind of wristband has inspired many other organizations for charities and various political causes. By buying this cancer wristband you are helping to keep up the fight against cancer and help sufferers around the world. Each band is made up of 100% synthetic rubber and has live strong engraved into the outer skin of the band. Cancer affects us in one way or another. Either we will be stricken or someone we know will.
