Laseraway - Botox Requires No Anesthesia No Recovery Time And No Surgery.

By: Shelinasilk Home | Health-and-Fitness | Beauty

Looking in the mirror and seeing frown lines or deep wrinkles can be frustrating and make you feel self-conscious. However, LaserAway offers a number of procedures to treat these problem areas. Botox is safe for patients aged 18 to 65 (although most Botox patients range from 35 to 60.) Botox can tone down and even erase those irritating signs of aging.

Botox is a purified protein that is injected into the skin; it limits muscle activity which prevents the appearance of wrinkles and lines. Botox is a low-concentration toxin version of the bacteria that causes the food poisoning, but when safely applied, it smoothes out furrows and lines on the face.

A Botox procedure lasts just a few minutes, with results appearing within 4 days and lasting up to 4 months. Botox reduces wrinkles by about 80 percent.
Botox is not known as a painful treatment, mostly due to the small size of the needles used. Most patients report a slight pinching in the area. There may have slight bruising or swelling or headache among other mild side effects. The doctor will ask the patient not to rub their skin, as the toxin could travel and affect other parts of the face. In addition, the doctor should go over the procedure as well comprehensively cover all the possible side effects.

Botox requires no anesthesia (although some numbing cream may be used,) no recovery time and no surgery. It is a quick outpatient procedure. The doctor will determine the best injection points as well the correct amount of Botox to use for optimal results. Once the Botox is injected, it will attach to muscle nerve endings and inhibit the chemical that causes the muscle contractions, which in turn causes wrinkling of the skin.

The treatment may range from $125 to $400 depending on the size of the area and the doctor.
