Learn Easy Guitar Songs

Perhaps you have started learning the guitar and can strum the main chords. Can you play G, C, and D? If so, then you are ready now to play songs from some great artist spanning the last 40 years, who have created quite a healthy lifestyle from of these three chords.

If you can play these, you can play top ten hits from distinguished musicians such as Chuck Berry and Bob Dylan. Ever hear of "Love Me Do?" Yes, even the Beatles had their three-chord progressions. Simply learn the 7th chords of A E and B and you too are ready to play it.

If you have recently started learning how to play the guitar learning a simple song is the best way to increase your confidence and feel you are making headway. The song "A Horse With No Name" is an time-honored favorite for new guitarists because it is said to be the absolute easiest song to play.

It is nothing more that a mere two chord arrangement of E minor and a slightly different variation of D. There are four beats per measure (known as 4/4 time) with only one chord change after every measure.

To play the modified D, simply hold down the 6th and 3rd stings within the 2nd fret. For the Em, press on the 4th and 5th strings in the same fret.

All you do now is strum the guitar, switch to the other chord on the 4rth beat, and repeat. Now, you're playing a classic that tipped the charts for the band "America"!

Lots of famous music like this song is comprised of nothing more than two or three easy-to-play chords. 'Lay Lady Lay' is another easy song to learn by Bob Dylan.

'Comfortably Numb' is a simple song to learn as well, by Pink Floyd, it is only five easy chords.

'Seven Nation Army' is another great song to learn easily, by the White Stripes. So get very familiar with your primary chords, C.A.G.E.D, and you be playing like a the best of 'em.

Then there is "Hey There Delilah" performed by Plain White T's. It's just another nice song with a very easily learn-able arrangement of chords. Have fun!
