Shopping is considered as an economic activity and also a leisure activity too. The concept of shopping is not new this concept was prevalent way back even in old civilizations, like in Rome in the ancient times there was Trajan's market which was considered as the wholesale retailing unit. Shopping include the participation of the shoppers and the merchant who is selling the particular item. The shoppers are the customers that intent to purchase any item they liked in the shop. Merchant or the vendor or the dealer is the seller that sells the items to the customer. Window Shopping Window shopping is the term referred to when the customer is just browsing through the windows of the shop and in planning things in mind about shopping but is not exactly shopping, this might be done for a recreational time pass or strategizing or even planning for the purchase. Shopping is done in many places these places are mostly the commercial zones that allow vendors to sell their item. There are lots of places to shop now days. Some of these places are: Shopping Malls: This is a large commercial zone that can be found in various cities. Malls have gathered attention of many shoppers around the world because the availability of most of the things under one roof is the specialty of these types of shopping hubs. They are good for shopping as well as business purposes too. Stores: These are shops which have been divided into multiple categories; these are shops with a target to sell a pre requisite number of items. Stores are properly maintained and distributed with their work every part of the store is assigned for a different work that is required from that part of the store. Stores offers a variety of package deals for the customers, they are independent of any other scheme and can launch their own to make shopping easy and marketing their store. Home shopping: The latest trend that is fast gripping is the trend of home shopping. Home shopping includes online shopping, shopping through telephone or through television advertisements. There are plentiful of marketing companies that provides the facilities for online shopping, though television and telephone method is prevalent form which came long time ago. Earlier there was a fixed time for shopping as the shops would close down, but now online marketing has changed this scenario completely. Today people can shop from home anytime they wish to, even many a places shops remain open 24 x 7 now so it's easy for office goers to shop after they get free from their work. Bargaining is an important and exciting aspect of shopping, we can bargain a lot of times even if the shopkeeper argues it gets you a suitable price and most of the time you find a worth deal sometimes even good items comes cheap.
