Learn The Real Secret - Antiaging Skincare Products Or Antiaging Nutrition?

By: Louise Nova Home | Health-and-Fitness | Beauty

The search goes on with women all over the world for the secret to staying young. There is always the question of whether you should be concentrating on using quality antiaging skincare products or whether you should just concentrate on eating foods that might have anti-aging properties.

Over the years the quality of antiaging skincare products has increased. The scientific research that is carried out in this industry is of the highest quality and extremely expensive. Products are more effective than they have ever been. The ingredients are finer, the elements are more effective and the results show. The industry has learned that without results, women will not continue to buy their products. Women are educated in this area like never before and they are willing to spend money on high quality products that give good results.

That does not mean that there are not products out there that are ineffective, or worse, bad for you. Women have to educate themselves on ingredients. They have to make decisions about what is important to them such as using natural ingredients or choosing products that use aromatherapy instead of synthetic fragrances. Choosing the right ingredients in products will definately benefit your skin and there are many effective, quality products to choose from.

One thing to guard against is buying the cheapest products you can. While expensive does not always mean the best, cheap genrally does mean the worst. One example of why women have to be careful is an Aromathepy Kit recently seen for sale in a large super-sized grocery store for $9.97. Upon closer inspection it was apparent that none of the bottles of liquid had any real aromatherapy in them, only synthetic fragrance oils. Companies that sell cheaply rarely do any research or quality control.

Antiaging Nutrition Choices

The other side of this discussion is the question of whether it would be better to just eat food that has antiaging properties. Healthy nutrition has become a popular topic currently, as more and more products are offered on the market to help fight aging. There are so many benefits that can be had from choosing antiaging nutrition that it is easy to see why it is becoming so popular.

If what we are hearing lately is true, then we must ensure that we choose our food carefully. Not just from a basic healthy eating standpoint but from an antiaging nutrition standpoint. Even though heathly eating is something that we are constantly reminded of, we are still bombarded with fast food restaurants and junk food commercials. When work and busy family life gets in the way of cooking a healthy meal, we often turn to the fast alternative for a quick solution.

Eating fast food in moderation might be acceptable but it is not a choice we should be making if we want to stay young and healthy. Eating high fat foods, low quality foods can affect not only our heart but also our skin.

Old Fashioned Vegetables

Like your mother always said, you must eat your vegetables. Vegetables contain fibre and this is very important for keeping our digestive system healthy. We need a healthy digestive system so that our body absorbs all the healthy nutrients that it needs to stay young and healthy. It is important not to always choose one type of food. A varied diet is the best and it also varies from one person to another

Generally speaking, a healthy mix of fruits, vegetables, nuts, and whole grains along with reasonable portions of healthy protein is suggested for a healthy life. Healthy diets have been shown to slow the aging process, and the more efficient and healthy your body, the less work it requires to do its job.

Antioxidants Are The Answer

Antioxidants are vital in a diet that helps to fight the aging process. Antioxidants reduce damage to the cells that is caused by the never-ending oxidation process, which is basically why we age. Anti-aging antioxidants in our food can help reduce the effects of aging both internally and in our skins appearance.

The foods that are highest in antioxidants are often foods that have a deep colur, often red or purple such as:-
- Beans & Nuts
- Berries - Blueberries, Cranberries, Blackberries,
- Raspberries
- Black Grapes
- Dark Green Vegetabels - Spinach, Kale, Broccoli
- Beets
- Red peppers
- Carrots
- Tomatoes

In conclusion, it seems that the question should not be "Antiaging Skincare Products Or Antiaging Nutrition?" Rather the question should be "Why would you not do both?" Preventing aging with nutrition is obviously important but at the same time treating the exterior of our body with quality, effective antiaging skincare products is just as important.
