Which labels are my favorite bands signed to? Which labels are likely to get my music? Which labels do I think would really bend over backwards to get my band to the next level? These are all just a few considerations you should think about when browsing through this list of record labels. Another great list that I came across is a list of independent record labels - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Independent_record_labels The great thing about these Wikipedia lists is that you can click on the label links, see which other bands are signed, read up about the bands and really conduct some conclusive research into each label before preparing your shortlist of labels you and your band wish to target. The real secret in finding the right record label for your band is in the preliminary research, so take your time researching and read up about each label. Finally, try to also read up about the key personnel involved with the labels. If you’re going to jump into bed with a company and try and do business with them, it's better if you know the people you are dealing with. So before you prepare your next mail out and canvassing campaign, take a good browse through this list of record labels and slowly pick out the ones that would love to hear from you rather than wasting your time and money and sending your material to the wrong people Happy researching!
