By: Art Gib Home |

Kansas City is an exciting city in the geographic center of the United States. All of the friendly stereotypes for the Midwest apply here, it has all the amenities and fun of a large city, without spoiling the Midwestern friendliness and charm that you've hear about.

Kansas City real estate is booming, and there is no better chance than now to take a look at this great city for relocation. A city steeped in tradition and culture, you're sure to find something there that you love, whether it is the music and entertainment, the community or the architecture. This town, split down the middle across two states, truly hosts something for everyone.

The city is well known for its contribution to the Jazz music scene. Dating back to 1930, the Jazz culture in the area has survived decades through the 1970's, when the city hosted a huge revival in Jazz music through a series of new, improved Jazz clubs that anyone can enjoy. Today, they still host the annual Kansas City Blues and Jazz Festival, and event that draws national attention, as well as the attention of top jazz stars and huge audiences.

Looking for work in the region? Look no further. Kansas City is the home to four Fortune 500 and Fortune 1000 corporations. Careers with such companies as Sprint Nextel, H&R Block and Hallmark can easily be found. The rest of the economy rests on manufacturing and sciences. It is also home to a Federal Reserve Bank and bills issued by the Federal Reserve Bank in Kansas City will have the letter 'J' and the number '10' on them. You'll also notice that single dollar bills bear the city's name as well.

The architecture around here is notable for its unique skyline. Among the regular skyscrapers, you'll be able to find the KCTV Tower which is the 31st tallest tower in the world, and various memorials like the Liberty Memorial, which serves as the national World War One memorial and museum. Kansas City is also known as the City of Fountains, second only to Rome. These fountains beautify the city throughout.

Real estate here is worth taking a second look at. This city is a booming metropolis that maintains its Jazz roots while moving forward into the future. If you are considering a relocation or even just visiting Missouri, consider Kansas City and you're sure to find things that you love.
