Although this doesn’t have the serious competitiveness of the London Marathon it does have a serious overtone as everyone running is not only raising awareness but also funds for the plight of the last surviving gorillas in the world. This year the Great Gorilla Run is being sponsored by the super new cool raisin brand Gorilla Boogers and they have already commented on how proud they are to be sponsoring London’s best all-costume charity fun run - 1,000 people, all dressed as gorillas and going ape for a day. This year’s event which takes place on Saturday 24 September looks set to be another fun day as many more people will be donning their suits to join the thousands of others who have already jogged or walked the 7km city and bankside route which passes such iconic London landmarks as the Tate Modern and Tower Bridge. Gorilla Boogers is a great new and healthy snack option that has been created for young children and adults who enjoy leading a healthy lifestyle while at the same time having a sense of humour and a conscience.
