Look At Yourself And Decide †Are You Ready For Breast Implants?

By: AmeliaAitken Home | Health-and-Fitness

Breast implant is also known as â€boob job’ in a more casual way. It is in fact, a process which includes inserting of silicone or saline filled breast implants that will improve the size and shape of the breasts. This process is mainly popular as it helps women with smaller breasts to have that fuller and firmer look. It actually increases self confidence and women feel good about their body.

But patients opting for beast enlargement process must have realistic approach and expectations from the procedure. Although, most of the patients experience increased self confidence, this process is not for everyone. It is only suitable for adults who have clear reasons for undergoing the process of breast implant.

Breast augmentation or breast implant is rather safe, but it is very important to know the risks involved in the process. The side effects, the scars and the potential complications are some of the factors that you must consider when you are thinking of going for the process.

Breast implants and its types

Breast implant is either done with saline or silicone-filled implants. Silicone implants involve longer incisions than saline based implants, but patients feel that silicone based offers a realistic feel.

Apart from the type of breast implant, you need to consider texture as well. The texture can be rough or on the smoother side. Other type of breast implants include teardrop or round implants which are available in a low, moderate or high profile. Breast implants are available in different shapes and sizes. The surgeon can help you decide on the size that will go well with the overall size of the body.

Risks and side effects involved

It is expected that patients may experience some common side effects like swelling, bruising and pain during the recovery period. It is normal to experience a little soreness in the area for a week or so because of the tissues that adjust to the foreign element in the body. Other than these common problems, you may also suffer from interference with breast feeding, scarring or any kind of asymmetry among the two breasts.

There are some rare cases as well. Very rarely, collagen fibres may develop around the implant and this painful complication is known as capsular contracture. In this case, the implant may have to be removed. Implants need to be examined regularly through routine MRI scans as they can rupture without coming in notice of the patient. Otherwise, breast implant can remain in the body for many long years.

Are you the best candidate?

Breast enlargement processes are quite popular in the UK among women who are not happy with the appearance of their breasts. These processes cannot create the perfect breasts but surely can enhance the size and shape of it and thereby, increase self-image.

Women who opt for breast augmentation process should have a good health condition. If you are unhappy with the way your breasts look and you are in healthy condition, then you are the right person for the boob job. A perfect candidate must be near or at their targeted weight or can be lower than 30 pounds overweight. Besides, as a patient, the woman must be emotionally strong and have a proper and thorough understanding of the entire process. She should have a history of an active physique and a healthy and good diet.

Surgeons don’t operate on patients who are both physically and emotionally weak. Again, women who live an unhealthy life are at great chances of complications.
