These glasses are created and chosen with the intention of creating a beautiful glass vessel sink. You will also find some glass sinks with designs and patterns in the glass. A few examples are tile patterns in multiple colors and geometric designs, both in the glass. You'll find that a glass sink often comes with a faucet set crafted using the same glass mixture that the vessel is made of. These are all aesthetic qualities. A high-quality glass vessel sink though will be made of a strong glass. Much of the glass used in high-quality any glass sink is tempered. This provides an especially strong material that will maintain the beauty of the glass vessel sink. You'll notice that there is a common element in both the high-quality glass sink and apron sink models. That common element is the presence of a combination of look and function.
