Here is a trick that is absolutely easy to learn, and easy to do. It always amazes them, and you will never get caught. All it requires is a normal deck of cards, some beforehand set up, and that you are able to tell a goofy story about some made up group of friends. Any story will work, as you shall see in a minute. This is how it will appear to your amazed audience or friends (or stranger on the street for that matter!) You walk up and say that you have a magic deck of cards. You quickly fan through the deck, so they can see it's a pretty normal deck. Not a trick deck filled with the Three of Clubs or something like that. Then you tap the top of the deck, and show them the top two cards. No big deal, right? Then you tap the deck again, but those same two cards are now at the bottom! After that, take those two cards from the bottom, and place them randomly in the middle of the deck somewhere. Tap the deck once more (you can borrow a pencil or something and use it as a magic wand if you like), and the two cards are again at the top! You scratch your head, and go on to another trick, or if this is with a stranger at a party or something, you scratch your head and walk away. This will absolutely leave a wonderful first impression, and they'll never forget you! OK, here's the trick. Only the Two And Three of both Diamonds and Hearts can be used for this trick. When you start, you'll have the Two of Hearts, and the Three of Diamonds on top, and the Two of Diamonds, and the Three of Hearts on the bottom. As you briefly show them the top two cards, they will rarely look for more than a split second. As you show them the two cards that are on the bottom, they will begin to question their own sanity, as they will assume they are the same cards. Then you quickly take them, stick them anyplace in the middle (you can even separate them if you like), and again show them the cars on top, which are different from the ones they just saw, but they won't remember. This works best if you can make up some goofy story involving hearts and diamonds, three guys and two girls, or whatever. That way they'll be looking at the cards even less closely. Don't worry about being caught, as it almost never happens. It will only happen if they've seen the trick before, or if you hold the cards out for too long. The only thing that needs to register in their is that one of the cards is a two, the other a three, and that they are both red. If you tell a good story about two of something, three of something else, and hearts and diamonds, they won't have a clue, and will be duly impressed with your magical abilities. Have fun.
