Whether you have started your own business or still in the beginning stages, you will eventually get to the point (or are there now) that you need help! Here is what you need to do to make your marketing assistant position successful!

1. Post an ad on Fiver.com, Craigslist, or wherever else you feel comfortable stating the qualifications you are seeking in a marketing assistant. Make sure that in your ad you lay out exactly what you expect and any writing examples you may want
2. Review all submissions and hire the best person for the job! This may require several interviews or you may go with your gut feeling. Either way, hire someone you are compatible with or that you trust to do the job that you need he or she to do. Also, a “work for hire” and “non-disclosure” agreement may be beneficial too if you want to make sure you are completely covered.

4. Provide your marketing assistant with an offer to promote using a video. An offer can consist of anything related to a coupon/discount, buy one, get one free, a free report, free consultations, free live or recorded, webinars/teleseminars, free software, free trials of software or memberships, etc. As you can see there are lots of items one can give away.
5. Get your assistant started making promotional videos/content and show them how to use the submission tools you have. The videos and content can be submitted to hundreds of video sites, social bookmarking, social networking, blogs, podcasts, and podcasting directories. All submissions to the previous listed sites will help generate traffic.
6. All the traffic that you generate using your marketing assistant should be directed to a website (yours personally or the client you are working with) or to a video lead page. All in hopes to capture leads that you will follow up with and make money!

One last recommendation when hiring a marketing assistant...Take your time hiring the right candidate. However, if they start off sloppy or can’t make the cut, fire them!
