The environment is an important living thing to eco-pundits across the world, and why shouldn’t it be? We consume our resources, but there is no reason to do it in a wasteful way. Nearly as important to drivers and other consumers is how the amount of energy we consume affects our pocketbooks, and that’s why the automotive industry has decided to shift its focus towards fuel efficiency, a fact that has come about almost predominantly due to the down economy. It shouldn’t be a huge surprise for drivers to see more and more cutting-edge cars hitting the market. Downers Grove Mazda 3 dealerships just got an announcement that put a smile on their faces. According to AutoCar, the manufacturer known for cost-effective vehicles like the Miata is positioning itself even deeper within the growing green trend. The report? Gasoline-based Mazda 3 motors are about to get a big jumpstart from new â€stop-start†technology, hopefully for the new year. The report assumes that Mazda will either enhance the performance of its current 2010 models or it will bring the technology into play for the 2011 model year. Downers Grove Mazda drivers should think about waiting a few months before they make that purchase. Unfortunately, the report only concludes that the Mazda 3 lineup will put the new technology into play in European models. But, since U.S. models also run on gasoline, it isn’t unfair to assume that the technology will make its way to U.S. shores and Downers Grove Mazda 3 dealers in the near future. That means serious cost-effectiveness and a low total cost of ownership for Mazda 3 drivers †factors that will hopefully influence a return to form for the manufacturer. Regardless, it isn’t a bad idea to get yourself in gear and head out to a Downers Grove Mazda 5 dealer to see for yourself what else the brand has to offer. But there is more. Turns out Mazda is also planning to install a DSG-style dual clutch in its 2011 Mazda 3 model lineup. While the article claims we won’t see the technology in action until 2010, we are pretty confident it will make its way into the fray pretty soon. If you are a Downers Grove Mazda driver, buckle up and get ready to test-drive one of these cutting edge vehicles. The news is huge in the face of the plummeting sales numbers that came out of 2009 for all parties across the industry. In the near future, Downers Grove Mazda 5 owners might even see this technology incorporated into their own rides. Until the technology debuts, Mazda drivers can only watch and wait. But we are keeping our eyes open at all of the auto shows across the globe, waiting anxiously for a look at the new technology implemented into a new model production car. It should be happening in the near future, so keep your fingers crossed. For now, take comfort in the fact that manufacturers everywhere are doing everything within their power to revolutionize the industry for the new decade.
