Mobiles Are Pushing The Ipods And Handheld Gaming Devices To The Corner

By: Smarthouse Home | Shopping-and-Products | Product-Reviews

People like to get entertained. To fulfil this desire, there are many avenues to pursue this end. The entertainment which was earlier restricted to some specific locations like the cinema halls, orchestra halls, amusement parks, gaming parlours and many similar places is now also available in the homes and even in your hand held mobiles. It would not be wrong to call it an anywhere, anytime entertainment. You can find the people carrying their ipods and listening to music while they are jogging, exercising, walking or doing other activities.

The mobile entertainment solutions have received greater attention of the companies ever since the coming of the mobile phones with the numerous loaded functions. There is no doubt that with the advent of the new age mobiles which are turning out to be the single device solution for a range of entertainment ways, many product lines have shifted their gears. Mobiles, like the Apple iPhone, are enhancing their storage capacities, coming with top resolution cameras, wi-fi connectivity and are loaded with a number of other functions. These are compatible with the high definition audio-video technology and, therefore, provide a complete real life multi-media experience.
The companies which have been engaged in the making of the gaming devices are also in the process of devising newer products, like the handheld gaming equipment, which is easy to carry to any place.

This is also true of the companies engaged in the making of the digital cameras. With mobile cameras increasingly adding more mega pixel resolutions, pure cameras are finding the going tough. The ipods might be surviving the heat for the moment but the future is uncertain for them as well. The companies are trying hard to make all around improvements in the product features and vying for newer ways of marketing of their products so that the competition from the mobiles is duly met.
Mobiles are, perhaps, a very good example to quote for the convergence of information, communication and entertainment technologies. The access to the internet, the ability to manage the works and documents and the added functions of the playing music, doing the video recording, taking the camera shots, etc. are all a part of the complete package. Combine with it the high definition features, the latest in the display technology and the excellent sound quality and what you get is a good multimedia experience.

The LCD or LED based display technology is increasingly being used in the computer monitors and the televisions. This has led to the flatter and slimmer TVs and computer monitors which are more practical. The LED technology has also made its way into the cell phone arena. Now you have the LED cell phones which do not have any screens of their own. These are a little inferior in the functions and the features than their other contemporaries.
