Mortgage Colorado : Lower your rate?

So what can you do to help lower your interest rate? One thing is always want to do is protect your credit rating. Make sure you get a copy of your credit score every so often. You want to keep an update on it so nothing appears on the report that you don't know about. Its all so a good way to help you fight identity thief. If there are things on your credit report you might want to try and get them removed. You all so want to make sure all your payments are made on time. Especially if you have a mortgage. Mortgage Colorado If you are late on your mortgage, it may take you over 1 year before you can refinance your home. This usually will include all your payments. So if you are shopping for a house any late payments will make you wait 1 year from when the late happened. The only exception to this rule is if this was caused because of a medical condition. An example would be that you hurt your back and you were out of work for a while and thats what caused the late payment.
You all so can watch the market to see if rates have dropped. If the stock market is down usually interest rates are down. Now the stock market is not what determines rates. That is the 10 year treasury bond but when the stock market is down usually so are the mortgage rates. A easy way to keep track is to just call your mortgage broker and ask them to watch it for you. He then can give you a call when the rates are close to what you want. Since he watches the market every day anyway. It will be a benefit to both of you.
