This is a small selection of movie hits for 2008. This list consists of the films I enjoyed watching this year. I hope you find a couple of movies that are good viewing. WHAT HAPPENS IN VEGAS: Wild and crazy nights in Las Vegas are normal. Barely remembering what had happened, Jack and Joy wake up to discover that they are married. They wind up winning a large jackpot at the slot machines, but there is a debate on who gets the money, so they ask a judge for a decision. The judge decides that they must stay together for six months, and give their marriage a chance. With an eye on the jackpot, they each try to get the other to give up, as both desire to have the cash for themselves. PINEAPPLE EXPRESS: Heavy pot smoker Dale Denton has just witnessed a bad police officer, and a big time dealer, commit a murder. They see him witness the crime. Understanding that he has been seen, he unwittingly throws down his joint, a unique version called pineapple express, and gets away fast. The pot is so unique, that it is possible to find out who has it. The game is on, as Dale and his dealer Saul are deparately hidding from the bad guys. FORGETTING SAHRAH MARSHALL: Ater suffering a tough split with long time girlfriend Sarah, an actress in a chessy sitcom, Peter (Jason Segal) decides to go on a trip to the Hawaiian Islands to start anew and forget about Sarah. Of course, when he checks into the resort hotel, the first people he sees are Sarah and her new man, who is a mega rock star. This sets up as a classic romantic comedy. THE DARK KNIGHT: Batman, and law enforcement officials, have been taking down the criminal elements of the city. Crime is now down, but now a new super criminal arrives on the scene, and starts a crime spree. Batman is in a battle now, as criminal mastermind, the Joker, has released his criminal insanity on Gotham City. WANTED: A young, bored, office worker named Wesley discovers that the father he never knew, is an assasin. His father has been murdered, now Wesley is asked to join into the group of assasins that his dead father was involved with. He now will become the killing expert that that he was destined to become. After that, everything becomes very complex and twisted. Enjoy this roller coaster ride. WALL-E: This film is an animation comedy. Everyone has been removed from Earth because it had become a big pile of trash. Wall-E, a robot built to remove trash, has been left behind to continue cleaning. When a recon bot (Eve) appears, checking for signs of life on Earth, Wall-E finally has some company. When the spaceship returns for Eve, Wall-E sneaks aboard, and thus starts the adventure of his robot life. Jumper: Nearing death by drowning, David Rice discovers he has an unbelievable ability. He has the ability to teleport himself to any place he wants to go, at any time. Later, he becomes aware that there are others with this skill. Unfortunately, after a few years of fun, he finds out that there are those that want him, and all the jumpers wiped out. He must fight for his life, as these paladins believe he should die. THE INCREDIBLE HULK: This film tells us the tale of Dr. Bruce Banner, who has become the Incredible Hulk because of being hit by gamma rays. This movie is an epic tale of the marvel comic character the green Hulk. This movie stars Edward Norton, Tim Roth, William hurt, and Liv Tyler. This film is directed by Louis Leterrier. The film style is sci-fi/action-thriller. ZACK AND MIRI MAKE A PORNO: Rent is over due and Zack and Miri, roomies who have been friends since grade school, are desperate to make some money. What will they do? Easy, start making pornos. As you might expect this seems like a good recipe for a great comedy. Many people will buy films when the come out on DVD, so they can see them in the comfort of their living rooms. A new way people are aquiring movies is through downloads from online sources. There are websites that offer downloading of tons of different movies.
