A motorcycle crash left Latter-day Saint author Lance Richardson comatose in a hospital bed. While his body lay lifeless and unresponsive to his family members, his spirit was soaring in the Spirit World. Like the people in many Near Death Experience accounts, Lance is greeted upon arrival into the Spirit World by family members who have since passed beyond the veil. During his tour of the Spirit World, Lance has some very fascinating experiences that teach us what that place is like and who lives there: 1. The Spirits there communicate via telepathy, even with the spirits of plants and animals. 2. Lions are as docile as house cats. 3. Guardian angels are actually the spirits of our deceased ancestors. 4. The Spirit World exists right on top of Earth but in another dimension. During his stay in the Spirit World Lance is told that his spirit will eventually be reunited with his body back on Earth so that he can relay a very important message. Here are the takeaways of The Message: 1. Our Heavenly Father loves each of us with a greater love than we can comprehend. 2. The Founding Fathers of America were prompted by Him to found the first country with the freedom of religion. America will become New Jerusalem, the abode of Jesus Christ when he rules the Earth during the Millennium. Because of this, God will protect America as long as her inhabitants serve Him. If they turn away from Him he will lift His hand of protection and she will be destroyed. 3. America has turned away from the morals and ideals that once made our country strong. 4. America has embraced the concept that truth is relative and no longer believes that truth is eternal. 5. The family is the center of society and if we hope to save our country we must strengthen it. 6. Service is the mode of Heaven and is the greatest principle in the creation of any society. When each person seeks for the betterment of the whole, not themselves, they will learn to love one another in a way they have never experienced before. This in turn brings both people closer to God and transforms them into more God-like people. Through this process our homes, our cities, and our nation can be transformed into Zion. This 187 page book is both fascinating and uplifting. I highly recommend it to those who have ever wondered what happens to our souls after the lights go out. I have given my original copy to a friend who lost his wife in a car accident. Although many of the concepts presented in this book are not confirmed by the accepted doctrine of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I did not encounter anything in its' pages that goes against LDS Church doctrine either. I believe the words of Brother Richardson and I look forward to the day when I can be reunited with the loved ones that have gone before me.
