By: bishu Home | Health-and-Fitness | Anti-Aging

There are many causes within the skin of under eye circles and discoloration through the eye area. Some of the common causes of under eye circles include stress within the skin, fatigue and a lack of sleep, a dryness in the skin throughout the under eye area and even dehydration and a lack of collagen within the skin that is associated with the natural process of aging.

With the many causes that are associated with aging, it is important to realize the importance of preventative maintenance throughout the skin area and ensure that you are able to provide the skin with moisture as well as lead a healthy lifestyle. In some cases however, it can be difficult to reduce the appearance of dark circles under the eye area. In these cases there are things that you can do at home to reduce the appearance of dark under eye circles.

Here are some of the things that you can do at home to reduce the appearance of dark circles under the eye area.

†Using vitamin E capsules that can be purchased in the vitamin section of any drug store or supermarket for less than five dollars. In most packages, there are more than sixty caplets that are found within the package and breaking open these caplets to remove the oil and applying the oil to the under eye area can be an effective way to infuse a high level of moisture into the skin and reduce the appearance of the dark under eye circles.

†Drinking more water, at least the recommended eight to ten glasses of eight ounces of water per day can ensure that you remain hydrated and therefore reduce the dryness within the skin and reduce the appearance of under eye circles.

†There are natural components that are found in cucumbers, as well as chamomile tea bags that can be an effective way to reduce the puffiness associated with dark under eye circles within the eye area. Allowing the tea bags to cool or applying cool cucumbers to the eye area can be a great way to reduce the under eye circles and discoloration of the eye area.

†Using cool compresses that are placed through the under eye area can be an effective way to reduce the swelling that can be associated with fatigue or stress. Using this method, you can use cooled cotton balls, or eye make-up remover cleansing pads placed on the bottom of the eye area and can create a refreshed appearance through the facial area.

Using these methods to reduce the appearance of dark under eye circles isn’t only natural to reduce the exposure to chemicals within the eye area and save you money at the same time. Through these methods you can find that you are able to keep more in the beauty budget for preventative eye creams and those that can be used to reduce wrinkles in the eye area.
