Wage garnishment is one of the legal reliefs available to creditors to collect monies payable to them by nonpayer. The creditor can file suit against a debtor to recover the money which the debtor nonpayer owes, based on the facts and data submitted in such suits, the courts can issue a court order of stop wage garnishment. The court will issue an order to the employer of the nonpayer to withstand a certain fixed sum of money each month, from the wages due to nonpayer and deposit this money as per directions issued in the court order. Wage garnishment is the process of deducting money from an employee’s financial costs as a result of a court order. Step3: Pay It Off Once a court order of garnishment is issued against wage, then you can arrange to have the amount paid off full within 10 days of the judgment being passed. Step4: Bankruptcy Creditors cannot collect against you when you are in bankruptcy, so any court order of wage garnishment will be stopped while the court reforms financial commitment.
