New And Used Hyundai Chicago Dealers Know Accent’s Affordability

By: Dwight Booker Home | Automotive | Cars

It’s all so confusing. This car is cheaper to buy. That car is cheaper to drive. MSRP is not the same as retail and how do we figure depreciation anyway?
New and used Hyundai Chicago dealers want customers to know that one car comes out as the most affordable across the board. Hyundai Accent has been deemed the most affordable car to buy and to own, based on a complicated formula of numbers and estimations that I won’t go into here. But the important thing is that we know which car we can afford.
Even thought the insurance costs may be slightly higher for Accent than for similar cars in the same category, the purchase price and fuel economy far outweigh this cost. Hyundai Accent buyers will appreciate that the base price will be under $11,000. Practically unheard of in today’s auto market!
The new Accent is part of an exciting year for local Hyundai dealers, one which has seen the redesign of the Tucson and a very popular Chicago Hyundai Sonata inventory.
But let’s remember it’s not just about a low purchase price of the Accent and other Hyundai models, but the overall cost of ownership and how well the vehicle fits the lifestyle of the owner. The Accent offers compact size for the urban dweller or roomy with entertainment features for the family †Hyundai has a model for everyone. Meanwhile, Chicago Hyundai Sonata shoppers opt for the larger model for many of the same reasons.
So, even figuring in fuel, maintenance and insurance costs, the Accent is still one of the most affordable cars to own in today’s market. To figure these costs, MSRP was used for the purchase price of each vehicle. The cost of insurance was based on a 28-year-old single male with no tickets. Since each car was subjected to the same ownership profile, the results are very reliable.
The fueling cost was based on 12,000 miles of travel each of the three years (slightly below average) and the EPA’s fuel-economy rating with the nationwide price of regular gas over the last year. In this case, the average price was $2.57 per gallon. (Wouldn’t we all love to pay that for a year!) Now, aren’t you glad you didn’t have to run all these figures yourself?
Hyundai Accent customers will also note that manual transmissions save the buyer about $1,000 up front on average. This will figure in to the overall ownership cost of a vehicle. The bottom line (no pun intended) is that buyers must make the decision based on their driving needs and their personal style. Choosing the most affordable car just for that reason may not result in a happy owner.
Hyundai dealers in Chicago have several vehicles in their lineup that are great values to own. Elantra is another model that was rated a high value in three-year cost of ownership. Any Hyundai model, in fact can be a great value for the family, the commuter, the young single in the city or any combination of these. No matter the need, Hyundai has a model that will meet it in style.
