Subaru is definitely killing it lately. Following the ridiculousness that was the recession and what it did to the auto industry, Subaru has taken the chance to kick some serious butt in sales. West Palm Beach new car owners are driving more Subarus than ever before, and the company’s sales numbers are there to prove it. I’m talking about record sales. Sales that the brand has never before seen. The year-to-date sales for the brand are up 40 percent, representing a huge push by a smaller brand that has seen a hole in the once mighty leadership of the industry. Even West Palm Beach used car dealers are reaping some of the benefits of this sudden boost in sales. One of the big factors pushing the rise in sales is the success of the new Impreza. Big year-to-date sales numbers have been seen from the Impreza for many reasons. If you ask West Palm Beach new car dealers, they will tell you that one of the big selling points of the Impreza is that the model has won Top Safety Pick honors from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) three years running. If you were the Impreza, I bet you’d be pretty happy with yourself. But you can’t be a car, because cars can’t read. And now, it looks like Subaru is releasing the pricing for the 2011MY Impreza, which is of course making West Palm Beach used car dealers all kinds of covetous and jealous. They want to host one of these great, safe cars, but they will have to wait a few more years. The first of the models, the Impreza 2.5i, will start at a lovely $17,495 asking price †a really cost-effective car for how safe and dependable it is. Then, of course, West Palm Beach new car dealers will have the 5-door version, which will get started right around $17,995. Then, there is also the Impreza 2.5i Premium, which will weigh in at a less than hefty $18,495, with the 5-door version coming in at the expected $18,995. And then, finally, there is the Impreza Outback Sport, which combines several of Subaru’s most attractive features. This one will cost you a starting price of $19,995. These numbers are just good enough to help you bypass your West Palm Beach used car dealer and head straight into the new car location to test-drive one of these safe, dependable Imprezas. Well, it’s great to see some of the smaller brands invoking an onslaught of the market and raising the bar for automakers everywhere. In fact, I’d love to see Subaru really take advantage of this momentum and kick the competition up a notch. Subaru joins brands like Kia in redefining themselves just when it is most important, when big brands like Toyota and GM are shooting themselves in the foot with huge problems, spanning the operations process to manufacturing. Let’s see some more of the same over the coming years, and keep your eyes peeled for more big things from the creators of the famous Outback.
