New Consumer Trends In Organic Pet Food Have Tails Wagging

By: Francineandreas Home | Business | Small-Business

With more people becoming aware of just what goes into the making of commercial pet food, many of these same people are now opting for organic pet food when choosing what their pets are going to eat. One recent incident in particular has brought the problem of unhealthy pet food to the forefront of people minds and it involves pet food made in China.

Poisonous Chemicals in Your Pets Food

It seems that Chinese pet food manufacturers were using a chemical that mimics the presence of protein as an additive in the pet food that they were manufacturing for export to the U.S. This would have gone on unnoticed for years, had it not been for the fact that a number of dogs and cats became ill from consuming the tainted pet food and some even died from it.

Cancer Causing Greasy Goop

Also, many people are now becoming aware of the fact the used fast food fryer grease that is dumped in containers behind fast food establishments is commonly used as another pet food additive. Its the greasy stuff that gets on your hands when you handle your pets kibble and it is the worst type of fat that any creature can eat. In fact, may medical researchers have gone so far as to label this burnt, carcinogen laden greasy goop as poison.

Healthy Pets Avoid Vet Bills

The fact is that vet bills aren't cheap and if you think that you are saving money by buying cheap pet food for your dog or cat, the truth is, that in the end you end up paying for their health problems that they contract from eating it. Organic pet food is nutritionally balanced and contains none of the poisonous additives that standard pet food contains. Also your pet will find it far more delicious and this means that dinner time for them will be more of a tail wagging joyous occasion.
