Tourism officials are hoping the new Sherlock Holmes film will inspire both domestic and overseas visitors to discoverâ€"or rediscover, whichever the case may beâ€"the various attractions Britain has to offer. The new film, set to open in UK cinemas on Boxing Day, stars Robert Downey Jr. as the famous detective and Jude Law as his sidekick Watson. Filmed in various locations around London, Manchester, and Liverpool, the film features a variety of famous landmarks as its backdrop including St. Paul’s Cathedral, The Freemason’s Hall, and Brompton Cemetery in London, The Liverpool Docks in Merseyside, Liverpool, and the Manchester Town Hall in Albert Square, Manchester.
