When you finally make the decision to work from home over the Internet, you're going to be bombarded with all sorts of terms for different kinds of marketing. One of the most profitable is niche affiliate marketing. Niche affiliate marketing is the greatest way to get started online and one of the quickest and easiest things you can do. Let me show you why. If you don't already know what affiliate marketing is, well type that term into any search engine and you'll find lots of answers. Affiliate marketing is simply selling somebody else's products and getting paid for each sale. Some affiliate programs pay a fee for each click to their website from your link or banner. Niche affiliate marketing is essentially targeting an explicit affiliate niche or target market. In other words, you might be involved in sports, but that's a really huge niche. You would be better to aim for a niche market more precise like football or golf. When choosing a target or niche market, you need to strike a happy medium. If you get into too small of a niche, you might find there isn't much to market. For example, if your niche were golf tees, rather than golf in general, you might be limiting your topics and affiliate choices too narrowly. You might be better off to choose a larger niche. That way you can sell information about golf resorts, golf tees, golf clubs, and even target specific golf products, like Tiger Woods products. By the way, golf is a very popular niche to be in but it's also very competitive. When the Internet was new and we were just learning to market online, each one of us had to create everything from scratch. We had to figure out what the best keywords were, how to use them and then design and build a website, create the graphics, and find the traffic. Geez, traffic is a whole major niche of its own and I don't mean the freeway kind! A lot of things have changed since I started online. Today, you can buy packages for niche affiliate marketing that contain prewritten niche websites with everything included. All you need to do is FTP them up to a web host and market them. Some of these packages contain articles and bonus materials to tempt your prospects into signing up for a list and purchasing your products. A word of caution however, be very careful when purchasing these packages. The amazing thing to me is that you really don't have to pay a lot for these packages and some of them even include training to teach you how to make money with them. Well, think about it, the marketer who created the package stands to gain from you when you promote it, so the training is in his or her best interest. I highly recommend that when you're starting out, it will benefit you a great deal to find a package that includes training. Some have very high price tags on them, but those prices don't really ensure that you're getting a quality product. There's a lot more competition today than there used to be and that has driven the pricing down while still retaining a lot of quality. So, find a good product that includes a pre-designed web page you can load up quickly. Make sure it also has good training to teach you how to market the site. Then you can build a small niche affiliate marketing business around it. Just do it once and repeat over and over. And, over time, your profits will get bigger and bigger. You get the picture!
