Nikon D200 Digital Slr Camera " A Camera That Features Wireless Image Transfer

By: Fred Gagnon Home |

Nikon D200 Digital SLR Camera is a consumer camera but with more additional features that most professional-level cameras have. This digital single lens reflex camera offers more than a beginners camera but a bit less than a professional camera. So it falls just between the two classifications. It also has the additional wireless image transfer functionality.

Nikon D200 Digital SLR Camera is a 10.2 megapixel camera. It has a DX-format CCD image sensor, which is approximately 24x16mm or about 2/3 of the 35mm film format. With this high resolution image sensor you can have sharp images with superior colors. It produces 3,872 x 2,592 pixel images, enough for 11 x 16 inches print outs.

With this camera you are always ready to shoot. It has a shortened start up time of only about 0.15 seconds. Its shutter release, which was tested to over 100,000 cycles, has a time lag of just 50 milliseconds. Thus, enabling you to shoot continuously without having to waste precious minutes.

Nikon D200 has a large eye-level optical viewfinder, which allows 0.94x magnification. This helps you view scenes precisely by allowing you to fine tune through its built-in diopter adjustment. In addition, it has a viewfinder blackout time of only 105 milliseconds. Its short blackout time makes you always on the ready to capture fleeting moments.

Nikon D200 Digital SLR Camera can shoot continuously up to 5 frames per second. It has the capability to produce 22 RAW shots or 37 JPEG images. Not only does it produce high resolution images, it also allows you to choose image sizes through its A/D conversion function.

It utilizes the new Multi-CAM 1000 Auto Focus sensor module, which has 11-point AF and 7 wide area AF systems. These auto focus systems automatically obtain correct focus on your subject. It gives broad coverage while assisting you in obtaining fast and precise image shots.

Nikon D200 Digital SLR Camera uses a 2.5-inch LCD color monitor, which enables wide-angle viewing. It provides 170-degree viewing in all directions. This high-resolution monitor allows you to view images at up to 400% magnification.

This camera uses a rechargeable EN-EL3e Lithium-Ion battery that enables it to shoot up to 1,800 frames per charge. It features a fuel gauge system that shows remaining charge percentage and the overall service life of the battery. It also displays the number of remaining shots since the last charge.

With this camera you do not have to use cable if you want to transfer images to a computer. All you need is a computer that is compatible with IEEE 802.11 b/g technology and an optional Wireless Transmitter WT-3a.

The body of Nikon D200 Digital SLR Camera is comprised of lightweight magnesium alloy chassis. Its robust, metal body can effectively seal and protect its sensitive components. This pro-like camera offers high-quality images without the complicated features.
