I'm not talking about pitching to your friends and holding home meetings. Usually, to start a home-based business' you have to pay for your start-up which could range from $100-$1,000. We all know that amount really is not much but that does NOT include your marketing tools. Postcards, newspaper ads, magazine ads, business cards, t-shirts, hats, etc.... Not to mention the cost of doing parties: gas, product on hand, food, and host/hostess gifts. In this era, the opportunity to market is expanding. We can have an automated business. This is possible through online advertising marketing. The internet has gone crazy with the new hype of social media sites. What do all of these sites have in common? They are free and they reach thousands daily. This system is so easy that most people undermine it. Do NOT over think this! When you are looking for something you usually "google" it, right? You look through the first 10-20 listings and then if you can't find it you try to "google" something similar. Oftentimes, in a search a myspace.com page or youtube.com video will be some of the first results you will see. Clicking on that URL will link you to information about the product and the person selling you the product. This could be free how-to information or a new product. Either way you can get to know the person before you look at the product. This is the key to social media advertising. The customer is able to become confident in the company/person and then the product. It builds trust. Why would you ever go back to cold calling or chasing leads. This type marketing is inexpensive and effective. The era of information is here. Let us use this opportunity to become successful.
