Online Baccarat: Hot Tips For Success

By: jreider Home | Recreation-and-Sports

Ask the regular casino enthusiast what is Baccarat, and the answers will vary from 'some game where you can bet nine' to 'that game that James Bond played in the last movie'. But, Baccarat is one of the original casino games that was very popular not only in the States but also all over the continent. (And yes, it was the game that Ian Fleming focused the action of his first book upon.)

Warning:
But, before I continue, I have to warn you. Beware of the many frauds online and offline that promise you that their system will break the casino. Don't purchase any of these books or online manuals. Even if you use the Martingale system, you will crash as soon as you reach the highest amount of money you can place as allowed by the casino. Likewise, don't count cards as well.

Unlike other card games such as poker and blackjack, baccarat is less a skill game than any of the rest. In addition, because most baccarat tables use more than three of four decks of cards, the likelihood of being able to calculate the outcome is pretty much non-existent.

Then, How Should I Play Baccarat?
There are no written rules on how to win at Baccarat, it is a game of luck but with luck on your side you can make clever moves and discipline yourself to help you win.

1) The Number of decks used is crucial.
Because your odds of winning decreases as the number of card decks increases, search out for those baccarat tables that use the least number of decks for that casino. If you look around, you are likely to find a table that uses only one deck of cards at a time. Opt for this table.

2) Place your wagers with the player who's acting as the bank.
Most casinos won't allow you to play all night by betting with the bank, but do this as long as it is allowed. Then, play the minimum amount of rounds they let you and go back to betting on the baccarat banker.

3) Do not place wagers with money you don't have.
This is actually the most important rule that you must keep in mind when going to play baccarat. You must play only with money you will be able to lose. If not, your mind will keep alluding to the fact that you cannot lose that cash and this will cloud your thinking.

4) Observe the baccarat table.
Never start playing as soon as you enter a casino. Relax. Drink a cold drink. Look around. Then, after picking a baccarat table, stand to the side and observe how the game is being played and how the different players are placing their individual bets. Once you feel relaxed enough and once you are well aware of how each baccarat player bets, take your seat. Remember. Start slow.

5) Learn how to hold yourself back.
This is the most important factor to not only bear in mind but to plaster into your brain: come to a casino with money you can waste. And likewise, if you lose that cash, leave. Do not go to an ATM machine for more money or do not use your credit card to withdraw more. Note that once you do that, your reasoning fails resulting in more loss of valuable money.

6) Pick the baccarat game that suits your skills.
You only know how good you are at playing baccarat. This is not the time to feel you are stronger than you really are. The difference in what you think you are and what you really are will be the result of your baccarat playing at that table. So, judge wisely and don't try and show off.

Just Before I End:
Baccarat and even the easier version of Mini baccarat are games that can be mastered without too much practice and hard work. But, don't under-estimate any opponent. If you play with a sound mind and don't take too many risks, baccarat can easily become the casino game for you where you make up your losses or win big.
