Only When You Accept That You Need Proper Exercise Will You Achieve Weight Loss Success

By: Gen Wright Home | Health-and-Fitness

How many people do you know who have gone on a fat loss diet and lost some weight only to regain it again and possibly some extra as well? They fuss over every last calorie or every last minute of exercise only to end up heavier than when they started.

Right now 8 out of every 10 people are overweight and many of these are obese.
Millions of people all over the world at any one time are trying to get in better shape. Huge amounts of money, time and effort are going into this monumental effort by so many. Yet almost every one of these people is falling far short of the results they had hoped for.

We have never had more diet programs, more technology, diet pills, fitness clubs and websites devoted to weight loss and dieting. Yet even when weight loss seems to work, seeing less weight on the scales and looking "thinner" in the mirror is invariably the result of losing pounds of vital fluid and healthy muscle tissue, not excess body fat.

From all of the effort poured into this obsession with weight loss you would agree that our society is fighting an all out war against body fat and fatigue. But the sad reality is we are losing.

You see, inside their bodies people's health is going down the drain. With all that dieting and deprivation, those on restrictive programs is effectively slowing their metabolism (the rate the body burns fuel) leaving them weaker by the day. Sooner or later they become aware of this, and their frustration grows.

We need to revise, radically and rapidly our view of our current fat loss methods. We need to discover and enlist the latest insights from metabolic research and a host of other science fields. Instead of just watching our weight we need to get really smart about the most effective ways to burn off excess body fat automatically and continually by enlisting the natural metabolic "engine" of energy production as an ally not an afterthought.

The focal point of this revolutionary new approach is a system that governs fat burning and energy production and is the key to fat loss that lasts. By using several powerful tools like proper exercise and healthy eating we can speed up the calories burnt every minute of every day which is what will chew into and dispose of any stored excess body fat.

The number one tool is of course exercise, but it has to be the right exercise. The type of exercise that works is strength building and maintaining exercise using large movements that involve multiple muscle groups. This stimulates the hormones necessary that instruct every cell in the body to stay strong and healthy and boosts metabolism.

Recreational activities like walking, jogging, cycling etc will not give this metabolism boosting effect but are great as part of an overall active lifestyle. They just cannot every replace a proper exercise program that will give true results.

Once you have got your head around these facts seek the help of a fitness professional to set up your program and teach you correct exercise technique. It is important that the exercises are done at the correct level of intensity if they are to work properly. This is a skill that you will need to learn over a period of time so you can perform the correct amount of productive "work" in the shortest time to get great results.

You have at your fingertips a complete fat burning, energy producing, life generating power plant in your metabolism. It is sitting there awaiting your signals. You can either fire it up which will result in fat loss, increased energy and motivation to become more active. Or you can let it dampen down which will result in disuse, fat storage and fatigue. If weight loss is your goal make your metabolism work for you not against you.
It is that easy.
