Metal detectors paved the way of fortune, adventure and unfolding history. People have found long lost treasures and have experienced great adventures because of this leisure ' metal detecting. Many stories and metal detecting experiences have been told. Being unfamiliar to metal detectors is implausible. Because of metal detectors, people have gained an attachment to adventure. Everyone has got to say something about metal detecting - and I really mean everyone.

Bradley and Lara had been married for four years. Every year they take a vacation to their beach house in Myrtle Beach, SC. The first year, Lara lost her wedding ring in the sand right in front of his house. It was her great grandma's ring and she was very disappointed when they couldn't find it. Lara thought the ring was gone forever. Two years later, Bradly decided to buy a metal detector to try to find it. He took a week off from work and went to the beach house without his wife. It took him three days but he managed to find the ring. The next week was their fifth wedding anniversary. Bradly presented Lara the ring, which he finally found after two years, as an anniversary gift. She was elated and couldn't believe that Bradly had found her ring. It was one of the most heartfelt metal detector stories.

Sam had been a treasure hunter for a few years and already owned many high end detectors. He had many detector related stories but still hadn't found the big treasure that he was after. Sam was treasure hunting on the coast of Spain. He was scanning a beach in a private cove when his handheld equipment started beeping. It was quiet at first but got louder the farther north he moved. He couldn't take it anymore. He had to start digging. After a few shovel fulls of sand, he discovered a coin. The coin Sam dug up was an ancient roman coin worth thousands of dollars. Sam continued going down the beach with the detector. He eventually dug up a chest full of these coins. Sam had found his treasure and was able to retire early.

Obviously, anyone can create their own story using a handheld detector. Treasure does not need to be worth a lot. As long as the treasure has value to the person telling the story, the metal detector stories will be great.
