Organic Vitamins For Enhanced Energy

By: Healthyman Home | Health-and-Fitness

In an increasingly fast-paced society, more and more men and women are seeking ways to increase stamina and feel more energized, without turning to medications that can cause serious health risks or side effects. Even individuals who follow regular, healthy eating habits and make sure they get enough sleep can still find themselves feeling run down or out of steam when life’s stresses mount. Fortunately, there are other ways to increase your energy naturally, and most of them are as close as your online organic supplement store.

Vitamins

Perhaps the most essential vitamin for increasing and maintaining energy levels is vitamin B complex. Vitamin B actually comprises several components, including niacin, thiamine, biotin and folic acid, as well as B12. In the body, the B vitamins are used primarily in the production of energy and metabolic maintenance, making them an ideal supplement to combat fatigue and increase flagging energy levels.

Most of the B vitamins are essential for a healthy metabolism. Vitamins B1 and B2, for example, help the body utilize the nutrients in food more efficiently, and increase the levels of oxygen in the blood, allowing nutrients to be more effectively used by the body and its processes. Likewise, vitamins B12 and B9, also known as folic acid, help in the formation of red blood cells, which carry oxygen from one area of the body to another. Vitamin B12 also plays a vital role in the body’s natural absorption of essential nutrients.

The B vitamins work together and are best taken in a multi-vitamin supplement, or as separate supplements taken together, to maximize their unique energizing effects.

Supplements

Of all of the minerals, one of the best known for enhancing energy is magnesium. Often found in trace amounts in foods, especially fruits and vegetables as well as some meats, magnesium is directly related to the body’s own energy production processes, and is often used to combat both emotional stresses and physical fatigue. Because the levels of magnesium can vary between foods, even individuals with balanced diets can benefit from a magnesium supplement, or a multi-vitamin that contains healthy levels of magnesium.
NADH, known by its chemical name as nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide, is a naturally occurring substance that has been shown in clinical studies to fight fatigue and increase the body’s natural energy levels. Prescribed by many doctors and clinicians to help treat men and women with chronic fatigue syndrome, NADH plays a critical role in stimulating the production of ATP, or adenosine triphosphate. ATP is the substance in the body that is responsible largely for the release and storage of energy, and is vital to many of the body’s processes, including those used in both mental and physical activity.
DMAE (dimethylaminoethanol) is another supplement often prescribed for individuals with low levels of energy. Used primarily as an aid in boosting both memory and mood, the substance is found naturally in oily fish, such as sardines.
The amino acid L-carnitine is another organic supplement that helps in transporting fatty acids to cells, helping these cells convert the acids into energy. This energy conversion process provides a major source of energy for muscle tissue and the physical processes of the body.
Bee pollen has become popular in recent years as researchers have discovered the health benefits of this product. Rich in vitamins A, C, D, and E, as well as the B complex vitamins, bee pollen also contains proteins and essential fatty acids that help the body convert nutrients to energy and keep the body performing at peak efficiency.
Herbs
Herbal supplement used to help increase energy have become increasingly popular in recent years. Many supplements, as well as energy drinks, bars, and other products, contain varying amounts of these herbs, and to ensure you get the most effect without exceeding recommended levels, it’s a good idea to buy your herbal energy-enhancing products from a reputable supplier.
One of the most well known herbal supplements for increasing energy is gingko biloba. Often recommended as an aid in improving memory, gingko biloba is also well regarded as a supplement for boosting stamina and energy, as well as improving the body’s immune system. Gingko biloba is also considered an effective tool for keeping stress at bay, which can also contribute to an overall feeling of heightened energy.
Ginseng, another herbal supplement known for its energy-enhancing properties, has been highly regarded for centuries as an aid in increasing stamina and maintaining both physical and mental vitality. Often, ginseng and gingko biloba are combined in supplements.
Another less well known supplement that has been used for thousands of years in Indian medicine is gotu kola. This herb improves blood flow throughout the circulatory system, allowing the body to more effectively use nutrients and improving stamina and energy levels.
Today’s energy-enhancing supplements are a great way to round out a well-balanced diet, to ensure your body is receiving all the nutrients it needs. No matter which supplements you choose, buy from a reputable dealer to make sure you’re getting supplements that are both safe and effective
