Pakistani And Arabic Mehndi Designs

There are various kinds of mehndi patterns, top three being Indian, Pakistani, Arabic and African Mehndi designs. All three are very popular and have their own beauty, in this article we shall be talking more about Pakistani and Arabic mehndi patterns.


To start with, Pakistani designs as the name suggests are more common to the people in the Pakistan. However their popularity is worldwide and they are known to be very reputed mehndi designs. Though they are quite similar with the Indian Mehndi Designs they have their own appeal and significance. Most of the Pakistani mehndi designs are known to have very complicated designs as well as patterns. The designs vary as per the celebration, taste and location.


Mehndi plays a crucial role in a Pakistani marriage and a bride is considered incomplete without a Mehndi design. Brides have particular mehndi designs all over their legs, hands feet and arms. Most of the times a bride are decorated with mehndi in her wedding (Manyoon).


A mehndi design might even be utilized during celebrations as they give a very attractive look. Nowadays there is a variety of Mehndi designs to choose from for the Mehndi lovers. The current trend has also brought in styled mehndi patterns. These patterns are veru popular among the mehndi lovers. Here a pattern scatch is created by thin outline and the central empty part is filled with dress shining mehndi with mascara.


Coming to the Arabic mehndi, these designs are quite popular worldwide. Most if them are simple floral motifs worn at hands and feet of women. They usually reflect the skills of artists and design individuality of all traditions around Arabian Peninsula.


This kind of mehndi patterns are used to paint temporarily on the hands or feet of the bride. The ingredient used to create mehndi powder is called Henna. Henna is a shrub or a small tree around 2-6 m tall. This henna is powdered and then mixed with mustard and tea for creating a thick paste. Most of the times the shade is brownish red however henna can also be mixed with more plants for changing their natural color. When the paste is used to create a mehndi design, you would have to wait before the mehndi to dry completely. The mehndi paste actually is a dye absorbed by skin, the same stays on the skin for several days like a temporary tattoo. Most of the times it is dark brown or orange in color. Among the various kinds of mehndi designs the Arabic mehndi is known to be the most popular form of mehndi designs.
