The internet net on phones is great as is the availability social networking sites, the thousands of applications, and the fact that you can have all of it in your pocket. But now Palm Treo Cell Phones has put 3D gaming into the mix assuring computer and gamer nerds everywhere that they can continue their virtual conquests wherever they are. And all this, right at their fingertips. Yes Palm Treo Cell Phones has given their users access to 7 new 3D games from EA Mobile, Gameloft, Glu Mobile and Laminar Research. All of these are available through their palm app catalog. As of now the 7 games released are Need for Speed Undercover, The Sims 3, Asphalt 5: Elite Racing, Let's Golf, Glyder 2 and X-Plane. They also introduced EA Mobile's Tetris, Sodoku and SCRABBLE as well as Gameloft's the Oregon Trail and Brain Challenge. Many of these games have successful followings both as computer games and video game console games and therefore ought to do well with on Palm Cell Phones. Expect all phones by the likes of Verizon Cell Phones to follow suite soon, too. So will gaming eventually end up as a handheld venture for anyone that owns Verizon Cell Phones, or in this case, Palm Cell Phones? It certainly will become a more predominant aspect of the gaming world I would presume. After all, gaming has well surpassed movies and music as the highest grossing entertainment field in the world. So expect it to latch on and get into any technology available, especially the ever growing and always popular handheld world. The reason it won't wipeout the world of video game consoles though is quite simple. Video games can be great in handheld form but would you rather play on a 52 inch television screen or on the screen of Verizon cell phones?
