Party Dresses †One Shoulder Or Two?

By: Jamie Francis Home | Shopping-and-Products

Strut your stuff with the latest in one shoulder party dresses and maxi dresses or if asymmetric sends you apoplectic, choose from the long-sleeved 1960s inspired mini dress or the cutesy tea dress and be right on the money this autumn / winter.

Ruffled shoulders stole the show at many a red-carpet event and many a wedding this spring / summer, with whites, creams and nudes creating beautiful backdrops for tiny all over prints of butterflies and stylised birds and flowers. Worn with heeled caged gladiator sandals to add drama from top to toe, these dresses suited just about everyone and they will last well into next spring / summer. But if you’re in the market for a new dress just in time for the Christmas party season then shop online fashion stores for the most glamorous and wanted one-shoulder dresses or dare to roar in leopard print.

Going out dresses are designed to make a woman feel sexy, glamorous, gorgeous and at her best so with this in mind, it’s important to choose what makes you feel all of these things and not just what is in fashion. If you love the idea of flirting with your evening wear and exposing a perfectly buffed shoulder, then this autumn / winter fashion obsession with the one shoulder dress is perfect for you, just make sure you keep the style simple and your accessorising to a minimum or it could all start to look a bit contrived. Why not sweep your hair over to one side to balance the look, or emphasise the style with a scraped back style and simple drop earrings?

One shoulder maxi dresses are great for achieving Grecian goddess sophistication but make sure you still remember the maxi rules for your shape and wear classic jewellery to keep your whole look expensive. Boob tube, vest top and long-sleeved maxi dresses are still a big part of celebrity and online fashion so if one shoulder doesn’t appeal to you then don’t despair, there are plenty of great party dresses to choose from.

This autumn / winter sees the return of the velvet party dress, a trend last seen in the early 1990s and once again, this is a bit of a love or hate but it’s worth giving this trend a chance as the styles are classic and when kept simple can add texture and drama with very little effort. But if velvet is a little vampy and you want ultra feminine, floral tea dresses are still a must in every girl’s wardrobe and can be glammed up with layers of dramatic jewellery and skyscraper heels for that effortless day to night look.

Be proud of your pins in the long-sleeved mini dress, inspired by the 1960s and as seen on Heather Graham in Austin Powers II for something completely different from the one shouldered party dresses and choose a style that will stay loyal from season to season.
