Penn State Nittany Lions Tickets-victory Of The Team

By: Gen Wright Home | Health-and-Fitness

From the attempt to thrust to blocking, Cornley baskets in the paint to a series of second-half 3-pointers, Penn State scored from all over leading to a 73-58 defeat of the Wolverines night of Tuesday at the Bryce Jordan Centre.

"We will treat the upcoming game like it's the next biggest game," said Cornley about Tuesday's win. "In this conference anything can change in the span of games. We are just going to go ahead and make sure that we win aggressively and play really hard on Saturday. We are just going to continue to do what we do best and that's play hard and share the ball."

"We always talked about the first half and the second half, and we talk about throwing the first punch," said Penn State guard Danny Morrissey. "We didn't do that much effort in the first half, but in the second half we really did made that winning run. We jumped on them early, and we got them down and we always talk about how you smell blood and you go after them."

Cornley made the Lions to lead with 17 points, but just about almost everyone got into the scoring act, Battle, Stanley Pringle and Morrissey each scored in double-figures which eventually led the lions to take a lead and victory.

Centre Andrew, who entered the game with an average of about two points per outing -- drew a big ovation from the crowd when he exited the floor in the second half following a dunk and a hard basket that ended with him on the floor. He finished with handsome eight points.

"I think that's when we're at our best when we share the ball," said Morrissey. "It all started with how good Jamelle was playing on the inside. They could not stop him so they had to double and then he kicked it out and we just had the result we wanted from there." And after the Penn State offense got going, the sluggish Michigan offense allowed the Lions to take control and never look back.
