Poses lower the cholesterol levels in the individual along with the heart rate. However, it depends on the type of yoga pose but still an individual can expect to burn almost 200 calories per hour promoting weight loss in an optimal and healthy manner. Certain asanas are extremely effective in losing weight, as they tend to burn the maximum amount of calories. For instance, hatha yoga can burn around 175 calories per hour. This is a very helpful posture for an individual suffering from prostate gland or prostate problems. It involves meditation, deep breathing, and stretching.

Practicing yoga poses stimulates lethargic and inactive thyroid glands increasing there secretions resulting in weight reduction and weigh control. Breathing is a very important part of yoga. Most of the instructions do not allow the practitioner to hold breathe during performance. Each asana helps the practitioner to become more aware of your body, mind, and environment. An experiment with pose sometimes gives pleasure and excitement. One should perform such poses with playful curiosity, feeling of frustration and competitiveness. It is important to keep in mind that while practicing postures, the practitioner should not feel do not feel any discomfort or pain. This is also essential to be free while breathing and never force to breathe. Labored breathing is sign hard working and the practitioner should come out of the pose slightly. While starting yoga one should hold for three full breaths.
