Planning A Team Building Event

By: Brian Middle Home | Business

Take some time to first consider what your aims, aims and desired outcomes are. Do you have to strengthen a new team or a team that may be struggling to work together? What other needs do your staff have?

Next, consider some more unique types of exercises that you can utilise, for example;

1. Put together a corporate Olympics, where you bring together the individuals to work as a team to win the unsurpassable prize as champions. It could possibly take some time off from work, but the skills and abilities learned here are sure to continuously benefit your staff.

2. Scavenger hunts are another option. Here, you will want to work closely with your team to locate some well hidden items. Expand it beyond the office, into the city. produce guidelines and create groups. Ensure that everyone will be able to get the clues you write. You can find a mix of themed treasure hunts on offer.

3. Incorporate a team building challenge into your event. This is often an outing that you can take as few as 10 people to or as many as 1000 or more. The intention is simple. Achieve the prize, working together to aid each other to complete each task. The Crystal Challenge provides physical, mental and skill based tasks and so even those who may not feel they can be physically active will do well with this style of team building event.

There are many other exercises that you can incorporate into a team building event. for example, you could make it a team fun casino night or you could do something considerably more simple, for example working as teams in a pub olympics. The intention is to get everyone involved, or those key players you're hoping to get involved.

The best way to build your team is through interesting, unique methods and exercises that encourage them to work together to solve the problem or to win. Give them motivation in participating. Reassure them that they don't have to be perfect to do well. Make it fun and do stress the reasons for such an activity so that everyone does work as a team.
