Play Fast Guitar - Easy Guitar Tips To Blast Your Playing To New Speeds

There are hundreds of "big name" guitarists out there and most are demons of speed. When you watch a famous guitarist in action, most of the time you're simply in awe as their fingers move in a blur.

However, it's not unreachable to become an amazing and fast guitarist like the professionals. With some decent hard work, dedication, and self-confidence, you can be playing fast guitar and difficult riffs like the rest of them.

Here is a list of important tips that can improve your ability to play fast guitar:

1. Practice hard. This is more than just an annoying way for your mother to irritate you, but it's a proven fact. The more that you sit down and work out something difficult over time, the faster you'll start improving your guitar speed.

2. Play along with a metronome. A great way to learn about keeping a steady tempo while learning to play fast guitar is with a metronome. It's a good way to actually measure the speed of your improvements and it's a good way to prepare yourself for a band atmosphere.

3. Learn from song books. There's so much that you can gather from song books that you might not have otherwise known before. Get your hands on a couple and notice the technique, rhythm, and style of other guitarists when they were in the height of their careers.

4. Take private lessons at your local music store. There's so much to gain from private lessons since it's all about one on one learning. Sure, you can purchase videos and books, but the amount of information you would miss by talking with an experienced guitarist is almost staggering!

5. Join a guitar forum. Another great way to gain information on playing fast guitar is to get answers from a guitar forum. There are literally hundreds of guitarists just like you who have questions, and all the best answers are sometimes found on a free forum.

6. Learn to read guitar tablature. You can really open your skills up to the world by learning the short-hand version of sheet music, which is guitar tablature. There are literally hundreds of websites hosting thousands of songs written in guitar tablature just waiting for you to read and jam on.

7. Subscribe to a popular guitar blog. If you want the most up-to-date information on how to play fast guitar, check out a popular guitar blog. Not only can you improve your guitar speed, but they'll help you increase the productivity in a variety of other guitar subjects as well.

Learning to increase your guitar speed is a great way to have your name picked out of a crowd of hundreds. Keep your head up and work hard and you should find your guitar licks and riffs moving much faster.
