There are also those like me who prefer to learn alone. One way to do this is through a guide book. However, you must be comfortable in working alone especially in learning the different lessons, because there is no one but you to motivate you to stick with it every day to learn the basic techniques. Modern ways to learn the piano is through the computer software. There are also those who buy a DVD or CD program that is all about playing the piano. No matter what option you choose, you must be able to learn playing the instrument by simply using your senses. This process can be very difficult for some, but if you can learn this difficult and unique technique, playing the piano will be natural for you. By simply listening to a song, you can already play it on your piano. Before anything else, you have to purchase a good quality piano. If you can't afford one right now you can use a good electronic keyboard. However if you really want to learn to play piano you will need to eventually buy one. This is the only real way to learn how to play. You should start saving money for it now, because the piano is an expensive musical instrument.
