Needs and Requirements Virtually every POS system will have its own hardware requirements, depending on the business that it is servicing. There are some unique exceptions, but for the most part that majority of computerized point of sale systems are built from a relatively short list of basic components. System Components The core of a POS system will be its computer terminal, then beyond that will be the components that handle the basic functions of the business transactions. What any one business implements in their POS system will be dependant on what types of transactions are taking place there. Goals of Any POS System In the end however, all POS systems are designed to accomplish the same tasks.
