Prestwold Hall For Country Weddings

By: Chris tyreel Home | Business

Take a brief look around online at prospective country wedding venues and you will find many. Each website and page attesting to the fact that theirs is the one above all others. The perfect location. Book your wedding anywhere else and you're going to come up short or inadequate in one area or another. So now what about Prestwold Hall?

A Stately Home in a Sprawling Country Setting

I checked out their site and there is no promotional hype of this sort. What their site features is simply information and of course a few photos. I liked what I read and I definitely loved what I saw in the photos as well. The home is stately and massive, with acres of grounds that seem to sprawl out endlessly in all four directions.

Prestwold Hall Listed Grade #1 in 1951

The home was listed grade #1 in 1951 and in 1843 underwent a complete remodel by William Burn. The design style that was chosen for the remodel and interior decorating work is what is referred to as mid 18th century H Plan. A classic style that incorporates the colors and ornate woodwork that was popular during that era.

The Home Accommodates Up to 130 Guests

Prestwold Hall regularly books weddings and civil ceremonies. The home itself is registered to accommodate up to 130 for indoor ceremonies of this type that are primarily held in the library or main hall. They also have full dining accommodations for a wedding breakfast that can seat and serve up to 200 guests.

Extensive Eclectic Wine List & Gourmet Menu

Additionally, Prestwold Hall maintains a full wine cellar to support their eclectic and impressively extensive wine list that they make available. The list is composed of wines and champagnes the cover the complete range and spectrum, from more affordable yet popular releases, to rare vintages. The dining room menu is also pleasantly diverse with a great selection of gourmet deserts.

Church of England on Grounds for Intimate Weddings

Prestwold Hall also has a fully operational Church of England on its grounds that are a very popular and cozy site for conducting smaller more intimate weddings. Granted, it's not by any means as large as the main home but for the smaller wedding entourage, it's a truly special setting.

Preswold Hall's Chauffeured Bentley - Always Available for Weddings

One more thing the caught my eye when I perused their website was the fact that Prestwold Hall keeps their own chauffeured Rolls Royce Bentley. It's available for weddings and special events which means just one less item on the wedding day list that has to be accounted for. It's there ready and waiting and can be called on at a moment’s notice.

Complete Roster of Full Time Service Staff

Prestwold Hall also keeps a full time event management staff on premises. Their employee roster includes a seasoned professional event manager, gourmet chef, general site manager and maitre d', along with a host of experienced lower level service personnel. So Prestwold Hall is not just a premium wedding venue. It's the total package.
