Pro's And Con's Of Different Network Marketing Compensation Plans

By: Jacob Sikais Home | Business

Network marketing is one of the most in-demand marketing strategies in the business world today. To those people who are unfamiliar with this term, network marketing is done by putting up marketing procedures by giving perks to promoters of these products or services with their ability to sell on their own and with the promoters that they also tag along to the promoting company. The system works on multi-levels, where one gets the benefit from people who also get their own benefits, and so on. Unknown to many, however, there are several network marketing compensation plans available.

Here are four commonly used plans with an explanation on how they work.

One known compensation plan is the Uni-level plan. One marketer is allowed to sponsor the people who enrolled under the first level of his network (the ones he directly dealt with.) Although the others below the first line of distributors will not be included in this plan, there will be no limit to how many people can get this privilege as long as they are included in the marketer's first level of distributors. Although this plan might sound easy to the marketer, he/she is only granted a profit that isn't really big enough compared to the other plans' offers. For instance, the perks of gathering a hundred people for this plan might be the same if he/she gathers twenty using other plans.

The Stairstep Breakaway plans works almost the same way as the Uni-level plan does. This process also involves the first level of distributors only, but the approach is quite different. These distributors in the first level are allowed to do the same thing that their root marketers do. Once they surpass the number of recruits that their marketer has gathered, he/she can get promoted, allowing them to break free from their root marketers and work as individual marketers themselves. As he/she dislodges from his/her marketer's network, profits will be greater.

The Matrix plan is quite similar to a Uni-Level, but there is a limitation to how many persons a marketer can recruit. When the first level of distributors is filled in, the marketer can open another plan from a level below his first line of distributors. This means that the Matrix plan is not only limited to the first string of distributors. The profit may not be that big, not to mention that this might entail more effort compared to the other plans.

A binary plan, on the other hand, is described as a plan where new members are included in a marketer's binary tree, which consists of two "legs" that serve as levels. The rewards of this plan is calculated from a formula that is based from a specific sales amount or value indicated by the members of the Power Leg compared with the Profit Leg's amount.

These plans can be further discussed by the marketer and his/her distributors. Whichever network marketing compensation plans he/she chooses, a marketer should always bear in mind that these transactions should be of utmost consideration, so he/she should not decide about it without much thinking.
