Today, many of the Internet Marketing gurus are touting the power of article writing. But what value can this possibly bring you other than sore fingers? Product creation, marketing, exposure, credibility, expert status, customers, and best of all, money. Without knowing it, everyone is an expert at something. They may not think that, but guaranteed they are.

Online, there are many article directories just waiting for you to come along and start submitting your articles for free. There article directories are basically large databases of articles submitted by the everyday writer and categorized by subject. More than likely, within 10 minutes anyone could write a 400 word article on a topic they have an interest in. If you are an Internet marketer that subject would be something to do with business on the Internet or your specific niche.

For every article you submit you then have a marketing piece or product for your business. How can these make you money? With each article you submit you have the ability to post a business bio at the bottom. In this bio you can place your website and other contact information and other product details. By using article directories, people with a common interest as you will see your articles and your bio information.

Another value-added benefit of article writing is that the more you write the more you will develop brand notoriety, credibility, and expert status. Whatever your business niche is the main goal of everyone in business is to be classified as an expert source of information.

With just 10 articles submitted, you can easily see that hundreds and eventually thousands of people will not only view your article, but also visit your website. In addition, eZine publishers who are hungry for specific content for their publications venture to the article directories in search of good articles. They may also contact you for an interview.

For every interview you do, for every article that is published, you then have a product for your own business. Not only the article itself, but the credibility and expert status of it being published and a subject you have been interviewed about. The more expert status and credibility that you develop, the greater trust your current customers and potential customers will have in you.

Search the Internet for what's hot. Read a few blog entries on a niche topic you are interested in and garner several ideas on topics to write on.
