If you're learning to be a magician, you may be looking for some simple tricks to perform. Have you considered kids magic tricks? They're good to start with, because they don't require a lot of practice for you to master them, nor a lot of preparation. You can find a lot of magic-kits that have easy-to-learn tricks, such as the Eggcup Trick, the Coin Vanishing Trick, and the Broken Pencil Trick. The kits usually include the apparatus needed to execute the trick. When it comes to kids magic tricks, you don't need to do a whole lot to prepare. The Empty Matchbox Trick, for example, can be done with little or no notice at all. You just need a couple of matchboxes (one filled, one empty) and a rubber band to do the trick. All you do is shake a matchbox and you ask the crowd how many matches are in the box when they hear the rattle. The trick is to attach the other matchbox to your arm so that it is not seen by the audience, but it is still heard when you shake your arm. The Wine into Water trick is another excellent kids magic trick. All you need is water, bleaching powder, and some red food coloring. You will first pour water into a clear glass and mix in some red food dye. The water will now resemble wine. Now dump that red 'wine' into a glass filled with a little bleaching powder. The bleach goes to work right away, turning the water clear. Now if you really are going to let a kid do this trick, don't let them do it alone! Bleach is a dangerous chemical. What if you can't find a good magic kit? It's a simple matter to perform kids magic tricks by using common household items. After all, you only need a pencil if you're going to do the Rubber Pencil Trick. When the pencil is held loosely near the tip, it looks like the pencil is rubbery when you wobble it. This simple illusion is fun for a lot of kids. Kids magic tricks are fun for kids, but they're also great for adults too. Whether you're a kid or an adult, if you're a beginning magician, it's a good idea to start learning some of these fun and easy tricks. When you master kids magic tricks and can comfortably do them in front of a crowd, you will have an easier time tackling some of the more difficult tricks.
