Recognizing The Symptoms Of A Panic Attack

By: Stan Cristian Home | Health-and-Fitness | Alternative-Medicine

Panic attacks are a dreadful thing and they can cause a lot of problems for the victim. Many people that have experienced these types of attacks said they do not want to go through it ever again. Many people also mistake panic attacks for heart attacks and they run to the hospital.

The panic attack symptoms can be very different and every person can react in a different way. The heart starts beating faster and you feel tension and sometimes pain. But what causes this situation, these symptoms?

It is said that the bran picks up on the danger and it gives a signal to the nervous system. This system controls the energy of the body and prepares it for action. The brain tells the kidneys to release two chemical substances called noradrenaline and adrenaline. These substances cause the body to go through a rush.

The heart will race and the energy of the body will run through it. This is just the way in which the body reacts to danger, trying to protect you. This is how you should understand the process.
But what are the symptoms? There is no clear answer to this because there are many variables. Usually a strange feeling of fear happens. Some memories start to happen and they will cover your mind. You feel like you are in a situation where you can not cope with it. Fear is getting higher and higher while the adrenaline will rush through the body. The fingers, skin and toes will contract.

You can also feel pain in the muscles or the heart. Tingling in the feet or the hands can also appear. These symptoms are common to those of a heart attack but they must not be mistaken. When a heart attack happens, you also feel a big pain in the center of the chest.

This is how you can figure out which is which. The victims of a panic attack also hyperventilate and they can vomit too, while the heart attack victims do not get that. You must understand that you will not die from panic attack symptoms. They will cause a lot of discomfort but you will not die. The heart is fine and so will you. The only thing you need to do is to calm down and visit the doctor for an appropriate treatment. Panic attacks can be avoided and they can also be managed, in time, with a lot of patience.
