When you are wanting to redecorate your bedroom you don’t need to spend vast sums of money. You also don’t need to be an interior designer. The best and easiest way of redecorating your bedroom is by simply purchasing new bedding and curtains. So simple and yet very effective at giving the whole bedroom a brand new look. The bed is the most important aspect of the room. It is the sole purpose for the rooms existence after all and takes up most the space, so having high quality bedding that looks attractive is very important. The bedding must match the rest of the room. If you have bright red walls then you really don’t want to have bedding that is orange or pink in colour! The walls, flooring, curtains and bedding must all compliment each other nicely. If you are looking for a bedroom overhaul, it is a good idea to start by de-cluttering. Go through wardrobes, drawers and any other cubby hole that may be filled with clutter. Be brutal - if you haven’t worn something in a year throw it away (or recycle / take to the charity shop.) This can be difficult but just think how much cleaner and tidier the room will be once you are finished. Once you are satisfied with your de-cluttering turn your attention to the bedding and curtains. If you currently have dark material, go for something lighter. If you feel the room is too bland, choose bedding and curtains that are going to add a splash of colour into the room. Although very simple, having a good clear out as well as rethinking the colours of the curtains and bedding goes a long way to redecorating a bedroom. It will feel like a different room once you’ve given it this treatment.
