Review Of The David Byrne Cd My Life In The Bush Of Ghosts

By: Clyde Lee Dennis Home | Arts-and-Entertainment | Music

David Byrne has released him most recent CD entitled My Life In The Bush Of Ghosts.

Refreshingly, this was one of those CDs I was able to just pop in and comfortably listen to from beginning to end. Every track is enjoyable and was pretty easy for me to listen to from start to finish.

These days it’s a very rare CD on which every single song is good or better than the one before it. This CD is certainly one of those rare CDs.

I’m of the opinion that My Life In The Bush Of Ghosts is certainly David Byrne’s best work in a few years. A totally enjoyable CD and an outstanding release. What I call must have music. I give it two thumbs up because it’s a collection that even the casual Pop fan can appreciate and enjoy.

While this entire CD is really very good the truly standout tunes are track 4 - Help Me Somebody, track 11 - Mountain Of Needles, and track 18 - Solo Guitar With Tin Foil.

My Bonus Pick, and the one that got Sore [...as in "Stuck On REpeat"] is track 1 - America Is Waiting. Outstanding!
