Free climbing as a sport has become extremely popular with over hundreds of people following the sport in the United States alone. Rock Climbing Carabiners: Carabiners, which are continuously utilized in climbing, are basically rings of firm aluminum with a spring-loaded gate for unfastening. Usually, the spring grips the gate closed at all times, however the gate can be unfastened to attach a rope. Webbing: Tubular nylon webbing is used at all times in climbing.
