Rolex Milgauss - A Whole New Synonym For 'style'!

By: Luke Potts Home | Shopping-and-Products | Product-Reviews

There have been plenty of changes in technology nowadays. As a result of these changes, many of the work conditions require functioning in magnetically intense fields. The field might be anything- aerospace engineering, research labs, telecommunications, medical imaging equipment etc. The people who are in charge of these jobs are in desperate need of a time piece that will ensure that they are able to tell the correct time, even under magnetic conditions.

This is where the Rolex Milgauss 2007 version comes to play. The Milgauss was originally released in 1957. The 2007 version was released as a part of the 50th birthday celebrations of the Milgauss. The dial now features a lightning bolt inspired seconds hand, that lies over a black dial. The hour markers are white and orange and the minute numerals are orange. The sapphire crystal is slightly tinted in green and this provides the main highlight for the dial. This watch is secured fast through a stainless steel oyster bracelet. There isn’t really a huge demand for watches that can actually withstand up to 1000 gauss. The original Milgauss line up was dropped by Rolex in 1988, as it was one of the slowest selling Rolex watches of its time.

Besides that point, the Milgauss still remains a wonderful work for watch making. The Rolex Milgauss is one of the most sought after watch, and it is almost a synonym for consistency, precision as well as appeal. The Milgauss can be regarded as a watch that paves its own path! The watch comes with a high end magnetic shield that is attached to the construction. Thus, it provides high resistance to magnetic and shock environments.

The watch is a pleasure to look at! The large case of the watch is 40 mm. It is made of true stainless steel. The sapphire crystal that adorns the black dial is truly enchanting. It adds a richer and a more stylish look to this brilliant timepiece! The hour markers on the dial are bright, making the watch look dazzling and catchy at the same time!

The dial of the watch is multi colored. And the different colors of the watch are harmoniously matched. The â€MILGAUSS’ brand name is printed in orange. Then, the numbers 3, 6 and 9 and the Arabic numerals on the edges of the dial are also marked in orange. Besides, the green sapphire crystal and the orange lightning shaped seconds hand also add to the beauty of the piece! The stainless steel bracelet shows an intricate design of polished links which are enhanced enough to make the watch look perfect. The Rolex Milgauss has a bezel that is water resistant. This feature makes it gain much prevalence over other brand watches. The Milgauss watches can resist as deep as 100 meter water.

The Rolex Milgauss is quite a unique watch. It is the only Rolex watch to be manufactured after 2001 that does not sport a laser etched coronet in the crystal at six o clock. The Milgauss is also the only current reference of a watch having a Faraday case, or a case within a case. The Milgauss sports a special movement called 3131 as well. It also comes with a special bracelet that no other Rolex watch uses!

The Rolex Milgauss is a close to perfect watch- a perfect blend of elegance and utility. Who said style and science can’t go hand in hand? Rolex Milgauss is proof that a watch can be scientifically advanced and look elegant at the same time! If you are looking for a watch, a watch that defines your personality and ensure that the people have a really high first impression of you, then the Rolex Milgauss is an excellent timepiece for you! Just think about the number of things you can achieve in life with such an exquisite masterpiece on your wrist!
