Holdem Poker ranks among the popular casino and gambling games that are played worldwide. The simple rules and the high winning prize make this form of gambling very popular among both young and old people. In order to be the winner of the game and bag the rewards, there are certain rules you must know for playing Holdem Poker. The tricks and rules are very easy to remember and apply in the game with great success.

Usually, there are several divisions and rules that you need to have an idea of while you are playing poker. If you are beginner in the game, it is advisable that you first follow the proceedings to get an understanding of the game and its features. The rules are as follows:

Shuffle, deal and Blinds

In the first instance, the dealer shuffles a 52 card deck. In most cases, there are around 2 players apart from the dealer who take part in the game. The prize money is obtained from the amount that is put by individual players which is collectively known as pot. Usually, the "first blind" is put by the player who is at the left hand side of the dealer. Half of the minimum bet is put up in the first instance while the full minimum bet is put in the "second blind". Every player is provided two cards in the face down position. These are known as hole cards.

After the shuffle and blinds, the first round of betting on cards takes place.

The Flop process

After the first round of betting is over, the top card of the beck is discarded. The process if referred to as burning the card which is done to avoid the top card. In the later stage of the game, the next 3 playing cards are turned so they are face up on the table.

After the flop, there is another round of betting. It starts with the player who is left to the dealer.

The Fourth Street

In this process, the dealer burns another card and plays another card in the face up direction on the table. This is known as the "turn" or "Fourth Street." After this, the third round of betting takes place. After the round is over, another one card is burnt and the final face up card is put face up on the table. It is referred to as the Fifth Street or river.

Final Betting process

In this process, the players have the liberty to use any combination of the seven cards (the 5 community cards the 2 hole cards). The fourth and last round of betting takes place and after the round, the players reveal their hands. The player who has first made the initial bet shows the hand first. The winner is adjusted as per the type, formation and number of cards.
